Alan Ferber

You can create a lot of great opportunities for yourself as a musician if you just make stuff.

The month of Thanksgiving finds us most grateful for the opportunity to sit down with the brilliant Grammy nominated composer/trombonist/band leader Alan Ferber. One of the most in demand musicians on the international jazz scene, Alan has just released his 8th acclaimed CD as a leader – Jigsaw. Alan’s myriad touring and recording credits include Esperanza Spalding, Ted Nash, Miguel Zenon, Lee Konitz, Sufjan Stevens, The National, Paul Simon and Peter Gabriel. Universally praised by critics worldwide, Alan’s music was perfectly described by The Wall Street Journal as “somehow both old school and cutting edge.” Enjoy!
