Blair Bollinger

I played with Eugene Ormandy one time. I was 18, he was 80.

Hip-Bone Music kicks off our fall bone2pick season featuring an insightful sit down with bass trombone virtuoso Blair Bollinger. A member of the Philadelphia Orchestra since 1986, Blair graciously shares his thoughts and insights about his illustrious career including his years at the Curtis Institute studying with Charlie Vernon and Glenn Dodson, moving up the street to the great Philly Orchestra, his work as a solo artist and chamber musician, holding down teaching positions at Curtis, Temple University and the Juilliard School and the creation of his magnificent Blair Bollinger model bass trombone by S. E. Shires. Enjoy!
